We need nuclear power plants now!
We need to drill for more oil now!
That’s "Wasting".
Now please put a "E" in column 1 by those sources below that are "Exhaustible" and a "I" for those that are inexhaustible. Put a "P" in col 2 for those that pollute, and "C" for those that are clean. Once done, mull.

Now answer these questions:
(1) Is it advisable to spend money on sources that are past their peak and dwindling?
(2) Is it advisabe to spend money on sources that pollute?
You decide.
Nuclear maybe, oil no.

It will take oil to build the means to collect wind and solar energy. Once the oil is gone, we won’t be able to build that equipment either if we wait. Uranium is also something that is mined and is not infinite in supply. Those who are looking at the big picture are realizing that we will still need the renewable energy after the fossil fuels are gone. Building it now while we still have the means to do so just makes sense.

Wonderful evidence backing up your points, but I think I will have to respectfully disagree. Some more nuclear power plants might be a good idea, I’m not educated on the subject enough to know for sure, though I doubt there are many people who are. Oil is won’t last forever, the sooner we look for alternatives the easier it will be when it runs out.

because wind and solar are green, and can produce jobs, and power us. we can cut down on emissions, and consumption of foreign oil. nuclear is dangerous

Well, wind is working here. The Fenner Wind Farm is just a few miles southeast of where I am right now, and it’s steadily producing power. It has already paid for itself in the value of the energy it’s produced.
In my home state of New Mexico, solar power plants are producing vast amounts of energy as well, and for both these technologies, there’s no dangerous waste products to poison our world. I’m surprised at you, though: you could’a mentioned hydropower as well. You’re slipping, dude!
By the way, kid: President Obama’s not "wasting" one penny of your money on this technology – Fenner Wind Farm belongs to and was built by a private business, not with government money. Same is true of solar and hydro-power plants.

I can tell you a way to eliminate your electric bill – solar and wind power generated right at home.
Now do you understand or are you to stupid.

Yeah, we all know that if we depend on wind power, the cost of fuel for those windmills will skyrocket !
We will drill for more oil, as soon as ‘god’ makes more of it.

Brandon, try reading a little more than copying what your mom and dad say out loud. You’ll soon find that when the oil’s gone that the wind will still be blowing and the sun will still be shining.

we don’t need to waste our money on drilling for oil that may not be successful and is ecologically unsound for planet earth. you want nuclear power plants? how about in your own back yard? we need efficient, and enduring energy that won’t harm earth anymore that has been done. it is time to look for better energy.

The site you posted doesn’t work.
Secondly, wind and water and solar and geothermal and methane, all are free sources of energy. You don’t need to buy coal, oil, or plutonium.
Third, these sources last forever. Dams that FDR built in the 1940s are still in use today, and power the majority of Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Tennessee, Kentucky, and many other states. Again, these people get significantly cheaper energy, and the government doesn’t have to buy oil.
Fourth, building these structures creates jobs, because the majority of companies that care about these projects, are American. Drilling oil, is going to give jobs to Russians or Saudis. Also, in places like Canada, forests must be cleared, and the chances of an Exxon Valdez oil spill are high. there’s no oil in a solar farm!
And Fifth, these projects pay themselves off. So what if a windmill farm costs $10 million? It will get paid off in less than two years! And how far can $10 million of oil get us? We use nearly 20 million barrels of oil A DAY. It is over $100 a barrel.

Nuclear waste is a concern for the future.YOUR CHILDREN and their children will have to deal with nuclear waste as there is no safe place ON EARTH TO DISPOSE of them.
Therefore and alternative would be something that can render as free from our oil dependency of the Arab world. So RIGHT NOW solar and wind would be the best alternative unless you can invent something better.

The money wasted is any money spent on oil, etc. that doesn’t originate with us.
