I’m talking about the items needed and the required quantiy (height of the turbines, surface of the panels…)
As far as wind the amount of blade area you will need will vary with the wind speed and type of rotor used. Solar you can figure 75 watts per square foot (100% efficiency) between 10am to 2PM from late April to mid August assuming you live near the I90. South of I 90 more energy. North less. If you are making electricity assume 5% efficiency. That means you will require 1500 square feet to obtain 5KW for 4 hours per day.
