Emerging alternate energy technology?

What is a current emerging alternate energy technology? Apart from wind, hydro, solar, what other alternate/unique energy technology is currently emerging?

Geothermal heat is free. The process to recover heat is not! Thought the inert volcanoes we Have, would be able to recover enough heat to generate steam. To reach it we must drill through 5 miles of rock. The cost was $2 million a mile. Then the process of maintenance of a steam plant is ,Still more expensive then what we have now. This is what is holding us back. The use of coal, nuclear, solar, plants is still the cheapest way to produce electrical power. We must work on geothermal, solar more!

Biomass is one. As trash rots in landfills, it gives off methane gas which can be used to produce electric power.

Thermal depolymerization. This process converts waste before it goes into a landfill into oil and methane gas.

The best and cheapest alternate energy is conservation. A watt saved is a watt someone doesn’t have to make, regardless of the method.

    geothermal energy

essentially the idea is to pump loads of water deep underground where the heat of the earth vaporizes it, then uses the steam to power a generator.

It uses less land and resources then conventional methods and has a dramatically smaller impact on the environment as well.

Biomass, Geothermal, solar and wind energy are some alternatives in renewable energy. Now is the time for us to conserve energy and water. Water is currently becoming a scarce resource. If you go to the http://www.bewaterwise.com website you will learn the importance of water conservation.
